Maine, the north easternmost U.S. state, is known for its rocky coastline, maritime history and nature areas like the granite and spruce islands of Acadia National Park. Lighthouses such as the candy-striped beacon at Cape Elizabeth, dot the coast, as do lobster shacks, sandy beaches, and charming inns. The airport in Portland is small so it’s a great place to go for a romantic or family getaway.

Spain is an amazingly diverse county, especially for its relatively small size. It is a country that is passionate about art, architecture, and food. The Spanish people delight in going out most nights at 10:00pm. Sample wines and cuisine from many different places and not limit yourself to a large dinner at just one place. Madrid and Barcelona are the largest cities and are extremely different in almost every way.
